March 18, 2020 8:50 amCOVID-19 Update
Tennessee Valley Pain Consultants is open to meet the needs of our patients and is committed to your health and safety. We are monitoring the ever-changing nature of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its effect on our community.
We have implemented additional safety measures including extended sanitizing throughout our facility and health screening upon arrival. Our arrival screens include temperature scans and patient questions regarding travel and close contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19. In accordance with Huntsville Hospital policy, all employees and patients must wear a mask while visiting or receiving care at our facility. We have masks available if needed upon entering our facility.
Please contact our office at (256) 265-7246 to schedule a telehealth visit if you:
- are experiencing cold or flu virus symptoms especially fever and respiratory symptoms such as cough or shortness of breath.
- have traveled outside of the United States within the previous three weeks.
- have been in close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 within the previous 3 weeks.
- have been tested for COVID-19.
For our geriatric age and/or immunocompromised patients, please call the office at (256) 265-7246 and we will consult with your provider to determine the appropriate visit method.
We ask all patients to sanitize their hands upon arrival and have hand sanitizing units available throughout all of our clinic and procedural suites. Patients will be allowed to wait in their vehicles if desired and will be contacted when ready to be seen.
We are confident we can manage through this period together and continue to serve our patients’ pain needs. Please remember everyone can help against the spread of the virus by cleansing hands often, covering coughs and sneezes and staying home if you are ill.
During this time, many insurance carriers are expanding telehealth benefits. Our practice is researching implementation of telehealth visits for patients deemed immunocompromised during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We will provide updates to this fluid situation on our website and social platforms. Please check back with us regularly and most importantly stay healthy.
Thank you for choosing Tennessee Valley Pain Consultants for your care.
